the new jersey election law enforcement commission (elec) is dedicated to administering the new jersey campaign contributions and expenditures reporting act, the gubernatorial, legislative disclosure statement act, legislative and governmental process activities disclosure act, and various portions of the uniform recall election law. new jersey election law enforcement commission monitors the campaign financing of all elections in the state. the commission also administers the law requiring candidates for the governorship and legislature to make public their personal finances prior to election day. elec has upheld a tradition of fair, but energetic, administration of the state's financial disclosure laws.
